A project's short name (or "unix" name) is used in many references to the project around the site.
About this project:
The Open Source Network brings Social Networking to Open Source, and vice-versa.
It not only is and uses all Open Source software (Django, Pinax, etc), but is all about Open Source projects - and geared to the power user of FLOSS - it is designed to answer questions like "What OSS package is most appropriate to solve my problem?" and "Which distros have package XYZ in it, and what versions?".
